Early this Saturday morning, the body of a man was found on the shore of the beach along Del Mar Avenue in the city of Mazatlán.

Staff from a hotel located on the coastal strip were informed by civilians that there was an unconscious male person on the beach.

The hotel reception reported the incident through the emergency numbers 911 at approximately 03:30 hours, and within a few minutes, municipal police arrived to verify the report.

The body was on the stretch of beach located between Insurgentes Avenue and Rafael Buelna.

It is likely the person who entered the sea on Friday night near the monument to La Familia and did not come out. It emerged that the victim is a tourist from the State of Mexico.

Personnel from the Public Ministry Agency on duty attended to certify the death and requested funeral home employees to lift the body to take it to the SEMEFO, where it would be claimed by relatives.

With this case, there are now four swimmers who have died this week, just days before the start of Holy Week in Mazatlán.
