Despite the disagreement, in addition to the fact that this year there was no salary increase either, they do not dare to speak out for fear of reprisals
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Several elements of the Aquatic Rescue Squad said they were dissatisfied because this year the municipality has not given them uniforms or equipment to carry out their work.
One of them, who requested anonymity for fear of reprisals, said that in each Easter holiday period they were given equipment, but this year they did not give them anything when they are doing well, he added, they give them shirts, shorts, cap, tennis, and whistle.
At Easter they gave us a uniform and this time there was none, they gave us nothing and to date, they have not given us anything, ” he said.
Some colleagues have chosen to have shirts made on their own, paying out of pocket, but being a uniform that is used daily and in a color that easily stains and permeates, they have to buy continuously.
“Most of the colleagues who bring uniforms are because we ourselves have had them printed or made, but we are already tired of buying them, ” he added.
He said that they are often sent to speak to the Ministry of Public Security so that they sign a list and pass the sizes, but they never give them anything. Recently they called again, but now, to take a photo with an empty shoe box.
“Often they tell us to speak, that we go to sign a list for the uniforms, they ask us for the sizes. It turns out that they told us to go to Material Resources for a photo, I had to go, they gave me a shoe box but completely empty, on top A bag with a white shirt, I didn’t even check if it had the logo on it, they took the photo of us and told me: now pass it on to the other colleague, and just like the photo, “he explained.
Despite the disagreement, in addition to the fact that this year there was no salary increase either, he added, no one wants to speak out for fear of reprisals.
The group is made up of 18 elements, who monitor the bathing areas from Isla de la Piedra to Playa Brujas.
