After a meeting held with municipal authorities, Manguart Sánchez announced that the City Council will send them the new restrictions in writing and that one of the agreements was the reduction of adults in public areas to 45 percent.
“They agreed to send it in writing, which if right now they already told us that 45 percent in public areas, everything else will be sent to us in writing,” he excused.
“Right now what was an important piece of information, which changes our way of seeing things a little; that 9 percent of those infected are related to tourist activities, I say it is a good time to have a real perspective of things and in based on that moment, decisions can be made, “said the hotelier.
In addition, he was questioned about the regulation of vacation rental houses and apartments, as well as condominiums, considering that it is a problem that has been pointed out for more than 10 years and that so far they have not turned to see, a circumstance that Manguart Sánchez considered unfair.
“We can do everything without any problem, but the circle must be closed including vacation rentals because in the end, the time we were closed last year, although the hotels were closed but the apartments and condominiums were full,” he lamented.
“It is an issue that we have been insisting on perhaps in the last ten years and the reality is that it has not had the echo that is required (…) Not pressing but externalizing the importance, I say it is very clear, only the hotel industry does its part and not apartments and condominiums, so how are we going to lower the wave? “, he lamented, leaving the question in the air.
