Mazatlan Urgently Needs a Municipal Master Plan

It is the opinion of the Director of Municipal Planning, Jorge Estavillo Kelly, who points out that there are problems faced by new subdivisions due to the lack of an ordinance

The vandalism and deficiencies in public services facing new subdivisions located on the outskirts of the city, have made reflect to the City Council of Mazatlan on the urgency of a Master Plan Municipal. 

Jorge Estavillo Kelly, Director of Municipal Planning, said that it has to be redesigned, in order to avoid expansion to the maximum and concentrate the city, for better governance. 

He exemplified cases such as that of Santa Fé, which currently represents problems for the Municipal Government due to the distance it implies to travel.

Estavillo Kelly, indicated that to finalize the new Municipal Master Plan, the opinion of collegiate bodies of professionals on the subject will be taken into account to make the adjustments that best suit the growth of Mazatlán.
