Women’s interest in taking over state security has been increasing, as the demand for female students at the State Institute of Criminal Sciences and Public Safety has increased by 30 percent since February 2018 to date, the Head of the Executive Secretariat of the State Public Security System, Renato Ocampo.

He pointed out that at the beginning of his administration the enrollment of female students remained at 5 percent, from 100 to 120 police officers in training within the Institute.
In the last generation, 345 elements were graduated, and of the current enrollment of 210 students, 30 percent are women, which reflects greater credibility and confidence recovery, said the head of the SESP.
He announced that the start of a new generation for the month of October is already being prepared and that the expected demand target is 800 elements.
