The Festival Saborea Sinaloa is a success

On the sixth occasion, the gastronomy of the state capital is highlighted.

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- In the framework of the Festival Saborea Sinaloa, hundreds of people gathered at the Paseo del Ángel to taste the largest aguachile in the world, in which they managed to reach the goal of three tons of shrimp.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., the activities of the last day of the festival began , with the installation of stand of sponsor brands, product exhibitions, so that some people started to line up from 11:00 o’clock.

The chef of the aguachile , Miguel Taniyama, said that starting at 5:00 in the morning, in coordination with students from various universities began with the preparation of the dish .

The Saborea Sinaloa Festival is a success.

It was around 1:00 pm when with enthusiasm and fatigue of the young people it was possible to reach the weighing of three tons of shrimp, an action that was registered by the notary, Javier Gaxiola Beltrán.

In view of this, the leader of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac), Culiacán delegation, Mariel López Quiroz, said that this event highlights the cuisine of the state capital, with a 100 percent culichi food.

“A very Sinaloan dish that is distinctive of our city, who does not come to Sinaloa to Culiacan and it is completely delighted, Culiacán the aguachile capital for the sixth edition breaks its record now with three tons,” he said.

In this sense, we work on having the denomination of origin of the aguachile under two axes, the shrimp and the chiltepín chile, with the aim of providing a gastronomic identity to Culiacán.

Also showing the true face of the people of Culiacan, who in these festivals can empower themselves from the streets of their city and that, in turn, generates the increase of tourism and economy.

“The streets were taken from Friday, mainly with the alley, where we broke more than the expectations, we had a lot of assistance from the people, the people from Culiacan listened to us and that’s where the party came from, all the modesty, all this part of the joy, “he stressed.
