Mazatlan._The Council for the Economic Development of Sinaloa in the southern zone renewed the members of the board of directors, which will work for the period 2018-2020.
Alfredo Ruelas Solís will lead the agency and will continue with the projects, such as the construction and monitoring of the Santa María and Picachos dams, in El Rosario and Mazatlán, respectively.
The new president said that one of the main concerns is to reduce inequality in southern municipalities, which is expressed in the indicator of gross domestic product.
On the other hand, the outgoing president, Sergio Escutia Zúñiga , presented the achievements report 2015-2018, which highlighted the boost to the TIF Rastro, the consolidation of the Furniture Cluster of the Municipality of Concordia, the cultivation of specialty coffee in the area Serrana, the creation of the Monte Mojino reserve and the Uria-Concordia logistics corridor.
