Starting at 7:00 a.m. this Friday, January 9th, ten neighborhoods in the city will experience water service restrictions. Residents should plan ahead and schedule their activities to avoid inconveniences due to the water shortage.

In a public notice, the Mazatlán Municipal Water and Sewerage Board (Jumapam) indicated that the Operations Department will be carrying out maintenance work on the distribution network, which will affect a large area of the city.

According to the information, the water service will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Jumapam is asking residents of these neighborhoods to plan ahead and avoid activities that involve using large quantities of water, as the scheduled work is expected to restore normal service by nightfall.

The affected neighborhoods and housing developments are Villas del Rey, Costa Azul, Los Sauces, El Campestre, Esmeralda, and Fovissste Esperanza.

Families living in the Salvador Allende, Ricardo Flores Magón, Rincón de Urías, and Emiliano Zapata neighborhoods will also experience water service interruptions.

Jumapam’s statement indicates that service will be gradually restored starting at 7:00 p.m.

What recommendations does Jumapam offer to users who will experience water service restrictions due to scheduled work?

The water and drainage authority advises residents that upon receiving the service interruption notice, they should store water, plan their daily activities at home or in their businesses, and avoid excessive water consumption to ensure they do not run out of water until service is restored.
