Three-year-old twins died in eastern Culiacán, Sinaloa. They were identified as Valentina and Victoria, who lost their lives after falling into a pool located in front of their home in the El Barrio area.
According to official information from the Ministry of Public Security, the girls were found in the body of water by people nearby, who immediately notified authorities and requested help.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and transported the girls to the Red Cross base. However, upon arrival, they no longer showed vital signs. Despite resuscitation efforts, medical personnel confirmed their death.
Following the tragic discovery, the Sinaloa State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported that an investigation file had been opened to clarify the circumstances surrounding the events and determine possible responsibilities.
Investigative officers and forensic experts arrived at the scene to gather evidence and interview witnesses, with the goal of determining how the minors entered the pool area.
So far, authorities have not revealed further details about the conditions of the facility or whether security measures were in place to prevent the girls from entering the water.
The Sinaloa Prosecutor’s Office will continue its investigation to clarify the exact causes of Valentina and Victoria’s deaths. It is not ruled out that a report with the preliminary results of the forensic investigations will be issued in the coming hours.
