Akoya Sky Living hotel and condominiums are presented in Mazatlán

The project located on Del Mar avenue will have an investment of 550 million pesos; the lodging center will be operated by Holiday Inn

Mazatlán, Sin.- With an investment of 550 million pesos, Akoya Sky Living is developed, the mixed-use Hotel+Condominiums project on Del Mar avenue in Mazatlán.

The project will have 76 units, 2 penthouses and 130 hotel rooms, which will be operated by the Holiday Inn brand and will be ready by August 2024.

The general director of Lizantos Desarrollos Inmobiliarios, Jorge Lizárraga Angulo, assured that it is quite a challenge to start this development with the hybrid modality, one of the few that exist in Mazatlán.

With an investment of 550 million pesos, the generation of more than 200 direct jobs during the construction process and close to 100 permanent jobs when the hotel and the condominium area come into operation”

He emphasized that venturing into the hotel modality backed by one of the most prestigious national and international brands is a challenge that they assume given the growth that Mazatlan presents and the demand for hotel rooms that exists in the destination.

For his part, the head of the Mazatlan Secretariat of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, praised the commitment of local businessmen to continue raising the level of Mazatlan.

He highlighted that by the end of the year the goal of attracting 15 billion pesos per year will have been exceeded, since they already have 16.5 billion pesos as of October.

“It is no coincidence, since the municipality has been a great facilitator and has also granted tax incentives to companies, already reaching 30 Tax Promotion Certificates granted in the year,” he said.

Óscar Chávez, director of Franchise Sales & Development Mexico, IHG; The Holiday Inn franchise company in Mexico, reported that this will be the brand’s third property in Mazatlan and that a fourth is already in process, thanks to the large investment that the government has made in urban tourism and the tourist detonation of the Mazatlán-Durango highway, with a recovery of flights that is already in process.

During the presentation of the project, the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, representing Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, assured that the state governor is very interested in continuing growth in Mazatlán, the “jewel in the crown” of tourism Sinaloa.

Presale and amenities

During the presentation, Jeny Angulo, commercial director, pointed out that 50 percent of the units are already pre-sold and invited those interested to learn about the project, which in the condominium tower has various amenities that include a spa, sauna, jacuzzi, co-working rooms, bar, coffee area, children’s aquatic area with surveillance space for parents, barbecue area, infinity pool, sunbathing area, showers and living area in a multipurpose room, as well as a beauty room, barbershop, fitness center and pet park.

In the case of the hotel, basically considered as a business, it will also have restaurants, an additional pool, sunbathing area and showers.
