In the first semester of 2022, 5,163 flights arrived in Culiacán; to Mazatlan 3,236 and to Los Mochis 1,183.
Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- During the first semester of 2022, the total number of flight arrivals at airports in the state of Sinaloa was 9,582, 1,521 more than the same period in 2021, which meant an increase in relative terms of 18.9 percent.
According to the report of the Sinaloa Economic Development Council, in the first half of 2022 the number of flights and people traveling to Sinaloa is recovered, according to those registered in a similar period of 2019.
Regarding the total arrival of passengers, during the first semester of the year 2022, Sinaloa had a total of one million 722 passengers, 230 thousand 240 more compared to the same period of the year 2021, which meant an increase in relative terms from 29.9 percent.
In the first semester of the year 2022, compared to the first semester of the year 2021, Culiacán had an increase of 806 flight arrivals, which represented 18.5 percent, and 108 thousand 319 passengers; Mazatlán had an increase of 653 flights, with 25.3 percent and 101 thousand 884 passengers; and Los Mochis presented an increase of 62 flights, which represented 5.5 percent and 20 thousand 037 passengers.
Cruise ship arrival
For the first semester of the year 2022, according to the Federal Ministry of Tourism, 74 cruise ships arrived in Sinaloa, all of them in Mazatlan.
Of the 74 cruise ships that arrived in the state, 171,768 passengers arrived; No cruise ships arrived at the port of Topolobampo.
Mazatlan ranks 6th out of 14 ports that received cruise ships, with a percentage share of 5.4 percent of the main ports in Mexico.
The first positions are occupied by Cozumel, with 571 cruise ship arrivals; Mahahual, Quintana Roo, with 274; Ensenada, with 158 and in sixth place Mazatlan, with 74 cruise ship arrivals.
