Mazatlán occupies the third position in the arrival of tourists in the main beach centers of Mexico

There is a growth of 147.1% in the arrival of visitors to the state in the first half of this year, compared to the same period of 2020, reports Codesin

In the first semester of the year 2021, the arrival of tourists to the state reports growth of 147.1 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year, according to an analysis by the Council for Economic Development of Sinaloa.

This rebound comes after a drastic 50.5 percent drop in tourist arrivals during the first half of 2020.

According to the DataTur Monitoring system, of the Federal Secretariat of Tourism, the availability of rooms decreased 0.7 percent during the first semester of 2021. Sinaloa had 15,029 rooms, 102 rooms less than in the same period of 2020.

In the first half of 2021, 2 million 591 thousand 488 tourists visited Sinaloa. An increase of 147.1 percent in visitors compared to the first semester of 2020.

In this same period, in the first semester of 2021, Sinaloa had 7 million 309 thousand 085 night tourists, 4 million 863 thousand 468 more compared to the same period of 2020, which meant an increase of 198.9%.

In the first semester of 2021, Sinaloa had an occupancy rate in hotels and motels of 48.5% and an average stay of 2.8 days.
