Next week field work will be done to define what types of projects will be carried out

MAZATLAN.- The day has come! Tonatiuh Guerra Martínez, director of municipal Welfare and Social Development, indicated that next week he will receive designers from the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu) to continue with the work of the Urban Improvement Program.

What will be done is field work to define what types of projects will be carried out.

“We are going to make field visits to define the projects and we will also collect data and information that will serve for their creation.”

Other directorates such as Indem, Social Welfare, Parks and Gardens, and Ecology will also participate in this tour (the latter will be involved for a theme of planting trees with endemic plants).

When? Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of next week, the marginalized areas of Mazatlan will be visited. Although he did not specify which areas, he mentioned that they are neighborhoods that are on the outskirts of the city, as well as those that are in a vulnerable state.

The works that are going to be carried out in the city have to be labeled with the budget for the fiscal year of 2022, this means that they can start working at the end of December or in 2023 but with resources from 2022.

Let us remember that Mazatlan will receive 1.5 billion pesos, which will be divided into 500 million for each year of the current administration. It is important to clarify that PMU resources should only be invested in the urban area and not in other areas.
