For this holiday period, a capacity of more than one million visitors is estimated
Mazatlan. – This Tuesday the Municipal Government began the Operations Plan for Holy Week Mazatlan 2022, with the support of 1,127 elements from different security corporations, institutions, and government agencies that will ensure that order prevails in capacity in beach areas, rivers and balnarios, in addition to security in the rest of the municipality.
Leading the flag of the security operation that began this Tuesday the 12th and will end on April 23, Mayor Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres highlighted that Mazatlán has shown with facts that things can be done differently:
“In all the indicators we have improved and we want this Holy Week and Easter, also called the motorcycle week, to be a white week, a week of coexistence, of happiness, and where the economic resources that are poured into the state benefit all citizens…I invite you to work together to achieve the goal so that Mazatlán continues to be taken over for events,” he commented.
The personnel of 20 institutions, corporations and dependencies of the three levels of government that participate in the operation support with 121 vehicles, 27 ambulances, 16 fire trucks, 2 cranes, 3 rescue units, 1 helicopter, and drones that will cover 30 sections of beach with surveillance, security and health messages to offer greater coverage in inspection tours.
In addition, tourism and the local population will be able to keep informed in real-time of the capacity of the 30 beach sections during the days of Holy Week through the Semáforo Playa with the MZTourist App.
The start of the Holy Week security operation will be held on Quirino Ordaz Coppel Avenue with the presence of the Mayoresses of El Rosario, Claudia Liliana Valdez Aguilar; Cosala, Carla Corrales; Director of the State Institute of Civil Protection in Sinaloa, Héctor Modesto Félix Carrillo; Undersecretary of Public Security in Sinaloa, Carlos Alberto Hernández Leyva, municipal officials, councilors, businessmen and special guests.
