Mazatlan’s ‘Milk Mustaches’ far exceeds this year’s goal

Banco de Alimentos manages to collect more than 8 thousand liters of milk, higher than the established goal of 5 thousand liters.

MAZATLÁN.- The Mazatlán Food Bank managed to exceed the goal of collecting 5 thousand liters of milk in the campaign called “Milk Mustaches”, by receiving a total of 8 thousand 780.5 liters of this product, which will be destined for people most vulnerable in the southern zone of Sinaloa.  

The campaign began on March 4 and ended on April 5 with strong promotion and dissemination campaigns in companies, schools and institutions, which allowed collecting enough to exceed the goal.  

“The results of this campaign were quite satisfactory, the goal was met, it was exceeded and it will have very good results in terms of impact when enriching the food packages of the beneficiaries,” announced the assistant of the Communications Department , Amada Zatarain. 

He indicated that this campaign is carried out every year and, usually, it is done during April, which is the month when Children’s Day is celebrated, and coincidentally it is in the infant stage when this food is most needed.  

He added that throughout the year there are other campaigns and food collection is carried out, as well as donations are received. 

The Mazatlán Food Bank is located at Río Pánuco Street, No. 400, in the Ferrocarrilera neighborhood, its hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
