Mazatlan will stop motorcyclists who pollute the city with noise

They undertake an operation to end the noise generated by public transport and some motorcycles whose exhaust is modified.

MAZATLÁN.- The Delegation of Roads and Transportation in Mazatlan deployed a reinforcement operation against noise in the port, during the weekends, in which some teams are assigned to carry out reviews of public transport, reported Mario Rafael González Sánchez, delegate of Roads and Transportation in Mazatlan.

The official said that so far there has been a good response from carriers, although it has been detected that motorcycles are among the vehicles that pollute the environment the most.

“It has started first with an awareness campaign, but later those who do not heed the recommendations will be sanctioned, all motorcycles that have had their exhaust modified to make more noise will be subject to sanctions”; Gonzalez Sanchez said.

He added that elements of Roads and Transportation participate in the operation, as well as Traffic, with which it seeks to regulate noise on motorcycles, this through joint work between Roads and municipal authorities.
