MAZATLAN.- If you are a lover of comics and albums with prints, your time has come, a new place has arrived in Mazatlán to shelter all the followers of this hobby, it is the Italian company Panini, which will open a branch in Plaza Galerías.  

History 

This company was founded in 1961, with the launch of the first collection on the Italian soccer championship, and over time it gained strength in the world. By 1945 the Panini brothers opened a newsstand near Modena Cathedral and in 1954 they started a newspaper distribution company. 

The company continued in the hands of the family until reaching an annual turnover of about 8.5 billion pesetas, that is, 60 million dollars. 

In 1988 the company was sold to the Maxwell Group, which made a series of changes and put the management in foreign hands; in 1992 it was bought by Bain Gallo Cuneo and De Agostini until Panini was acquired by Marvel Entertainment Group.  

The Panini Group, with headquarters in Modena, Italy, and subsidiaries in Europe, the United States, and Latin America, is a world leader in the stickers and trading cards sector. Leading multinational in the edition of comics, magazines for young people and is also the most important distributor of comics.
