Proof of vaccination required for Mazatlan FC football match at the Kraken stadium

Soccer matches in Mazatlan will be played at 60 percent capacity with strict biosecurity measures.

MAZATLÁN.- Next Friday the emotions of Mexican men’s football will return to the port, when Mazatlán FC receives Toluca in a duel scheduled at 8:00 p.m. at the “Kraken” stadium, corresponding to date 3 of the 2022 Closing Tournament. 

Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, coordinator of Municipal Civil Protection, indicated that proof of vaccination will be requested again to gain access to the property, said requirement is due to the resurgence of Covid-19 cases.  

He said that the issue of the vaccination certificate will not be eliminated in the short term, since it is sought that the people who attend the stadium are protected. 

“Tomorrow (Thursday) we have the coordination meeting directly with the representatives of Liga MX, we have already outlined the requirements that we are going to need in terms of health; will continue the request to all fans of the vaccination certificate, “he said.  

The coordinator pointed out that the possibility of people leaving their seats to go buy beer or any food inside the stadium will be eliminated since it will be the vendors who take them to the site.  

He added that the use of face masks is mandatory at all times within the “Kraken”, and some staff or concessions will undergo modifications to meet all forms.
