Mazatlán, Sinaloa. – The Official of the Mazatlán City Council, Naila Velarde Narváez, announced that this Tuesday they will hold a meeting with Civil Protection and Operation Networks to discuss all issues related to the December operation that is already coming.

Right now we are waiting for all the vendors to come to renew their permits and the closest we have is the day of the Virgin, then they will regulate.

The municipal official commented that one of the main issues to be discussed at the meeting will be the strategy to eliminate the sale of pyrotechnics given the danger it represents and if a merchant selling fireworks is seized, he will be sanctioned.

Velarde Narváez explained that he still doesn’t know what the fine applied to fireworks vendors will consist of since this will be defined tomorrow at the meeting with the other municipal agencies.

In this sense, the municipal official stated that the posadas parties are an issue that they have to review.

The newly appointed Senior Officer argued that there are twelve vendors who will renew the permit issues, “the permits are being given to us, so we are waiting for the issue of renewals,” he added.
