The mayor, Armando Camacho announced the reasons why this event will be discarded
Guamúchil, Sinaloa.- The 2022 Guamúchil Carnival was ruled out because the first thing is to take care of the health of the population and if conditions allow it, a festival will be held, said the mayor of Salvador Alvarado, Armando Camacho Aguilar.
The municipal leader indicated that it does not seem appropriate to organize a party like Carnival when the COVID-19 pandemic remains and it is not certain what the condition will be at the beginning of next year.
“As long as the health authority does not present a definitive situation regarding the fight against the pandemic, the responsibility of the municipal authority is to preserve the health of the alvaradences, this coupled with the fact that the times to carry out a well-organized Carnival are already very short. ”.
He added that health is always going to be thought of first and then other issues such as celebrating carnival.
He indicated that in any case, they will name a Carnival patronage in case the party of 2023 can be celebrated.
