Vendors at the popular tianguis de la Flores Magón can finally open on Tuesdays, as they used to do before the pandemic began
Mazatlán, Sinaloa. – The tiangueros finally begin to see the light at the end of the road, because being in a pandemic and not being able to go out to sell their products, their economy was greatly affected.
The days of tianguis used to be Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, however, when they returned to sell they were allowed only on Thursdays and Sundays, and despite the fact that there is a good influx of people and they have been recovering economically, the merchants requested allow them to sell, especially with the holidays approaching.
Yesterday was the Tuesday that they opened for the first time in the year and the tiangueros were excited to finally have one more day of sale.
“Right now there are not many people, but yes, this day was needed, however, it is more profit for all of us,” said Reina, a merchant of the tianguis.
The flea market will be open every Tuesday from now on from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., among the items that are sold the most are clothes, shoes, accessories and on these dates Halloween items and even Christmas according to affirmed the tiangueros.

It is the tianguis of the Flores Magón neighborhood where more than 309 vendors meet every Tuesday to offer a number of products of all kinds, from tools, clothing, household items, and even food items such as eggs which is highly sought after for having the peculiarity of the 2X1, just as you hear two yolks in a single egg.
