The force of “Pamela” in Sinaloa will remain until noon this Wednesday

Sinaloa. – Already on land, and after having impacted in the vicinity of San IgnacioSinaloa and located at 7:00 am on land 65 km northwest of Mazatlán and 55 km southeast of Elota, the projection is that hurricane “Pamela “ Unload most of your strength for six to seven hours in Sinaloa.  

Mónica Jiménez, the specialist of the National Meteorological Service, explained that the cloud bands cause heavy rains at torrential points, very strong gusts of wind, and high waves on the coasts, but the rainfall in the mountain range will also recharge. 

The red alert at the moment specified, is from the south of Culiacán to Escuinapa, covering the municipalities of: Cosalá, Elota, Culiacán, San Ignacio, Mazatlán, Rosario and Escuinapa, mainly and the coasts, and later in the highlands where at colliding “Pamela” with the Sierra Madre Occidental, will release significant rainfall.

He explained that the alert must be maintained until afternoon when it is expected to cross the Sierra Madre Occidental and enter Durango where significant rainfall will also accumulate.

“From here at noon to 2: 0 in the afternoon, it collides with the Sierra Madre Occidental and generates the weakening, the cloudiness remains in the south of Sinaloa, then the portion of the sierra will pass and discharge; in Sinaloa they will still have severe wind, with storms and high waves for at least six and seven more hours, “he said.

The specialist of the National Meteorological Service asked the municipality of Culiacán not to trust it since the cloud bands of “Pamela” are very wide and there are showers over this area.

“For Culiacán it is a little further north, however, the convection with thunderstorms is in the southern portion of the municipality and also in the municipality of San Ignacio, Elota, Cosalá, Concordia, Rosario, and Escuinapa, but they should not lower their guard because there will be the presence of showers with rains and winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour ”, he requested.
