The last quarter of the year is promising and more so for 2022, with events such as Carnival and Motorcycle Week
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- With the opening of stadiums and events in Mazatlán, the hotel sector expects immediate results in tourism activity, with sustained hotel occupancy in the last quarter of the year.

The president of the Tres Islas Hotels Association, José Manguart Sánchez, explained that for the remainder of the year the accommodation establishments on Del Mar Avenue estimate an occupancy between 50 and 58%.

He announced that with the green traffic light and the holding of events in the port, such as baseball, reservations have already begun to flow, mainly for the Buen Fin and for the last week of December.

“December, we could be talking about levels of 55 to 58%, average, there are already many reservations, even for the good end, there are many opportunities to come to Mazatlan, there are many discounts, ” he said.

Manguart Sánchez estimated that for Carnival 2022, which will take place from February 24 to March 1, the occupancy would skyrocket by 70 and 75% and the demand in the hotel industry will not fall until after Motorcycle Week.

He considered that there are conditions to carry out events in the port, such as Carnival, Motorcycle Week, as well as sporting events such as the Pacific Marathon and the Triathlon, subject to the conditions of health protocols.

The hotel leader called on the public not to fall into excess before this reopening of activities in Mazatlán and to continue with health care, such as wearing the mask and applying healthy distance, which today have proven to be the best vaccine.
