Mazatlan, Sinaloa. Oscar Pérez Barros, head of SECTUR, assured that the ship comes with all the protocols established by international health and that 95 percent of the crew are vaccinated.
The Governor, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, will ask the Panorama cruise ship, of the Carnival company, which is scheduled to arrive at the port on August 24, to stay for the night.
The Governor of Sinaloa said that in the meeting that they will hold with the shipping lines they will propose that when arriving at this port it is not only for a few hours but even overnight, although everything will depend on the conditions that are marked in the face of this pandemic that is still active in the world.
“I understand that there is going to be a meeting and that is going to be very good and what we want to ask you is that you stay the night. I estimate that, for the last part of the year, the last quarter, it is not a fact, but little by little. Little is being enabled at the Caribbean level, in Alaska and I think they are going to start in this entire area, “said the president.
“Right now those who can arrive are sporadic because they have very low reservations, but I estimate that as time progresses, a vaccination card will be required and more than anything towards the next year they will be regularized, towards the incoming year, “he said.
For his part, Oscar Pérez Barros, Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, assured that the ship comes with all the protocols established by international health and that 95 percent of the crew are vaccinated.
“5 percent are not vaccinated due to age issues that may be children and for reasons of religion or some disease, 30 percent will disembark come down to our city,” he said.
The state official acknowledged that with the arrival of the Panorama cruise, it is a good sign for the return of the cruise ships, so care must be taken that the economy continues to flow, but mainly health protocols are maintained.
