15 Mazatlan transport units sanctioned for breaching protocols against covid


The SSPyTM reinforces citizen awareness actions in the face of the pandemic

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- This Friday night the citizen awareness operation was reinforced with the participation of Preventive Police, Traffic and Civil Protection, highlighted the Secretary of Public Safety and Municipal Transit, Commissioner Juan Ramón Alfaro.

After leading the actions that were implemented in the golden zone and boardwalk, the official mentioned that in addition to the invitation to use the mask and the healthy distance, the actions were also directed to the review of public transport, where around 15 drivers were sanctioned for not complying with the health protocols and guidelines that have been implemented for a year in the framework of the coronavirus pandemic.

He mentioned that in the case of rental transport, one of the measures that drivers must implement is not to carry a passenger in the passenger seat, but only in the back, to guarantee a healthy distance.

“The indication that we have from the municipal president is to reinforce for the good of Mazatlán, tourism and the locals so that Mazatlán continues to have an activity and what we have earned today is not going to collapse. We already started with the public service cars as of yesterday, pulmonias, aurigas, ecotaxis were being stopped, which were not respecting the health rules of not bringing a passenger to one side. They do not have antibacterial gel. We are going to start the local and the tourist who use the mask, and to the public trasport units I call on their union leaders, both ecotaxis, aurigas and pulmonias, to talk to their staff and tell them to take care of themselves, to use the mask ”, detailed the owner of the SSPyTM.

Commissioner Juan Ramón Alfaro added that these actions will continue in the busiest areas of the city and during the hours of greatest mobility, to ensure that the public contributes in this new phase of the Nueva Normalidad operation.
