The music festival is coming in July and we are starting preparations for the Mazatlán International Carnival 2022 and we will soon announce the issue, said the director of the Municipal Institute of Culture, José Ángel Tostado in the interview.
Questioned upon his departure from the Mazatlan Municipal Presidency, the official clarified that there will be a carnival or not next year, we must prepare as it happened this year. He said that in the second week of August the theme of the coming carnival parties will be known.
“There is confidence that the carnival will take place, but the certainty will be given to us in due course by the health authorities and as we approach the dates of 2022,” he said.
In a question, Tostado said that the Institute did not participate in the march of the gay-lesbian community, and what was organized was the event in Plaza Machado where all health protocols were respected and “it was very well cared for.”
The organization of the Mazatlán International Carnival announced through its social networks the date for the celebration of its 124th anniversary from February 24 to March 1, 2022.
It should be noted that this is a tentative date since it is still unknown when the quarantine and healthy distance measures due to the Coronavirus will end.
