The mayor, the ‘chemist’ Benítez Torres, pointed out that the cases of Covid-19 are controlled in the city.
Sinaloa.- After the rumors of a supposed new closure of activities at the end of the Caribbean Series, the ‘chemist’ Benítez Torres, mayor of the city, ruled out such a possibility.
“Negative, the city is not closed, there is not a minimum of risk here in Mazatlán we have not taken that resolution”, expressed Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.
The chemist explained that normal hours will only be returned at the end of the sporting event.
The realization of the Caribbean series if it is complying with sanitary protocols, assures the mayor, Benítez Torres.
He explained that all the attendees of the Caribbean Series have used the mask at all times and stressed that the national media “praised” Mazatlán since the baseball festival has been carried out in accordance with sanitary measures.
About the active cases for Covid-19, the president mentioned that the data is not current. He compared Mazatlán with Ahome, said that the port is touristy and has fewer cases than the said municipality of the North.
