4 Mazatlan government officials fired for possible acts of corruption

The City Council Secretariat and the Mayor’s Office are investigating possible acts of corruption within this agency

Four officials belonging to the Sub-Directorate of Commerce were dismissed, due to an investigation that began after alleged irregularities that occurred in the different operations carried out in this city.


In coordination, the Secretary of the City Council and the Mayor’s Office lead the investigation, in order to analyze and establish responsibilities, as appropriate.


These casualties are part of the actions that the Government of Mazatlán carries out to address citizen complaints and allegations of probable acts of dishonesty by some officials.


The four involved are part of the different operations that are responsible for the supervision of trade and the application of health protocols in times of pandemic.
