Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – Mazatlán will host the National Sport Fishing Championship that will take place from November 6 to 9, the most important tournament in the country.
The Secretary of Tourism, Óscar Pérez Barro s, explained that 60 fishermen who come with their families from eleven states of the country will participate in the event and an economic benefit of four million pesos is estimated.
He stressed that one of the attractions that Mazatlán has is that it is a destination that has sport fishing all year round, a great advantage it has over other places that are focused on activity.
For his part, the president of the Mexican Federation of Sport Fishing, Luis Miguel García, stated that the purpose of the tournament is to find the selected ones who will represent Mexico in the Pan-American to be held from November 26 to 26, in Panama.
Those selected leave fresh from here to bring that important medal, and this type of event the fishermen come only and exclusively for a gold, silver and bronze medal.
Meanwhile, the General Director of Planning of Conapesca, Bernardino Muñoz, explained that Mazatlán offers sport fishermen one of the best places in the world, for having an infinity of types of fishing, including all the sport fishing segments, including the freshwater fishing that Sinaloa has.
