Herdez launched a recycling initiative this month to redeem the brand’s cans for electronic money, with which you can pay for different types of services.

The company explains that you only have to introduce the cans in the collection machines, which are located in different entities of the country.

Until now, there are machines in Baja California, Chihuahua, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Sinaloa, and Sonora.

Herdez explains that to obtain the electronic money you will have to register in these collection machines with a cell phone number or by scanning a QR code through the app ‘For a more lively world’. For each can, you can obtain a digital weight, which can be accumulated but cannot be exchanged for cash.

In order for the machine to receive them, the cans must be empty, clean and without crushing.

The participating companies for airtime are Telcel, AT&T, Movistar, Unefon, Nextel, Virgin, Megatel, Tuenti, Cierto, and Maz tiempo. You can also pay for entertainment services such as Netflix, Spotify, Urban Pass, Televia and Skype for a month.

Also, electronic pesos are used to pay memberships for Xbox Live Gold, PlayStation Plus, Nintendo, PlayStation Store, and Cinépolis tickets.

On the other hand, it is also possible to pay for services such as Telmex, Dish, Sky, Total Play, Izzi, Megacable, Cablevision and electricity.

With electronic points you can also buy coupons for commercial stores and franchises.

The dynamic is effective from August 1 until October 31.
