MAZATLÁN.- With 120 thousand 883 visitors, the Mazatlan Aquarium closed in July; With this figure, the record of visitors was broken with respect to the same period but last year, which registered about 93 thousand tourists.
Pablo Gerardo Rojas Zepeda, director of the Mazatlan Aquarium, reported that the increase in visitors was 29 percent more compared to July 2018.
He assured that the staff attended daily more than 4 thousand people.
In revenue, the municipal official said that 15 million 291 thousand pesos have been collected, against 11 million last year.
“This represents a great income because we already reach 83 percent of the annual goal and we still have 5 months left, which means that we will be well above the expectations we had of the budget,” he said.
The Aquarius director said that there will be a new record and that the goal is to achieve 35 or 40 percent more total income over 2018.
