Mazatlan cemeteries overflow for mothers day

2119

MAZATLÁN- The strong rays of the Sun and the consequent heat, did not prevent hundreds of people from going to the local pantheons to wash the tombs and bring flowers to the mothers who already rest the eternal sleep.

The pantheons were very visited by people of all ages, who brought flowers, candles or other offerings to the mothers and grandmothers who came forward along the way.

Also the “chirrines” or small musical groups were very requested, who filled the church with music.

The tears, the prayers, the memories, were the constant on this Mother’s Day, where families lived together around the graves of mothers who are no longer physically, but who remain very present in the hearts and minds of their descendants.
