The director of Public Works, Juan de Dios Garay Velázquez, announced that this Thursday will begin to work on major structural faults in the pavement.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- It will be from this February 14 when it begins to develop the program of repair of the streets of the Historic Center that register major structural faults in the pavement, announced the director of Public Works, Juan de Dios Garay Velázquez

He said that this will happen after last Thursday reached an agreement with eleven of the builders responsible for the remodeling, after a meeting in which it was determined to make an assessment of the physical situation of the roads and, based on that, start with the correction of the defects found.

However, the municipal official revealed that since a few days they began to make repairs on the roads that have minor damage, which have to do with the loosening of tiles.

The street mostly affected by structural failures is the Benito Juarez, the program will be developed from tomorrow, which is when we conclude the joint assessment and then the intervention in the streets can be ordered, he said.

Garay Velázquez said that although it is estimated to start in this month, there is still no exact date to deal with the most affected parties, as this will depend on the evaluation as a whole.

Likewise, he emphasized that the interventions of the repairs are intended to be punctual, so as not to hinder vehicular traffic or suspend circulation, which is why interruptions are expected to occur in spaces no larger than two blocks.

He also assured that the intervention will be small in terms of time and expenses, the latter being borne by the builders.

Notably, the companies have already delivered these works to the state government, but the municipality has not yet received them.
