Suspended classes due to rain in three municipalities of Sinaloa

The suspension is for all levels and in both shifts, informed the head of the Ministry of Public Education; from Thursday to this Friday they have rushed between 30 and 70 millimeters.

Sinaloa.-  Due to the rains that remain in the north of Sinaloa with an accumulated in landslides of between 30 and 70 millimeters in some areas, the suspension of classes was determined in all levels and both shifts for the areas of Los Mochis, Guasave and the municipality of Sinaloa .

Juan Alfonso Mejía, Secretary of Public Education in Sinaloa, informed that the decision was taken jointly with Civil Protection and the objective is to avoid risks especially in those low detected and sensitive areas of flood.

Ahome and Guasave and some mountain areas and as a preventive measure classes will be suspended in Guasave and Los Mochis today for all levels, both shifts; the most prudent and pertinent thing to take care of our children and young people is to take the measure in a generalized way and that we will do although the information we have may vary, now we must make the decision, he said.

In a route of Línea Directa by some sectors of the city of Los Mochis, minor floods were detected in low areas until 6:00 in the morning, and although the forecast of rains remains, they are not considered as copious as in previous months.

At the moment the recommendation is to take the corresponding forecasts, drive with caution and avoid low areas.
