With 100 percent occupancy, the Guadalajara-Mazatlán flight arrived at the General Rafael Buelna International Airport on Tuesday.

This new air bridge is great news for those traveling for work, business, vacations, or to visit family, further strengthening tourism and the economy between the two destinations.

Abelardo Muñoz Martín, Director of Aviation Development for Grupo OMA, highlighted that the flight will operate three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It arrived full with 186 passengers and returned with 171.

“This project was made possible through collaboration between Volaris, OMA, and the Ministry of Tourism. Today, the flight arrived with 186 passengers and returned with 171,” he said.

The Secretary of Tourism, Mireya Sosa Osuna, celebrated the arrival of this inaugural flight on the Guadalajara-Mazatlán route, which is expected to have a seat occupancy rate above 90 percent for the next two weeks.

“We are very happy and will continue pushing to establish this new route, hoping it can operate every day of the week,” he said.

The travelers were welcomed with a big party featuring live band music and regional dances.
