With the National Charro Championships underway, which will be held at the San Marcos Arena in Aguascalientes from October 16 to November 9, the 57th Sinaloa State Charro Congress and Championship 2025 kicked off in honor of brothers Guillermo and Antonio Orrante Osuna.
Accompanied by Fabiola Verde, director of the Mazatlán Municipal Sports Institute, René Alí Zamudio Garza, Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism of Mazatlán, officially inaugurated the national sport par excellence at the Lienzo Charro in the Juárez neighborhood.
“We welcome you to Mazatlán. It is an honor to be present at the State Charro Congress and Championship, where tradition, unity, and pride in our roots are felt… Charrería is not just a sport; it is identity, culture, a living heritage that unites us as Sinaloans,” said Zamudio Garza.
The Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism of Mazatlán granted the director of the National Charrería Association (IMDEM) the honor of performing the traditional rope cutting, a symbolic gesture that officially inaugurated the congress and state qualifiers.
