On August 11th.- On one of the beaches of the Golden Zone of Mazatlán, elements of the naval zone and rescue corps, deployed an operation to rescue the national tourist Arlette “N”, 21 years old, who fell into the sea from a parachute that lost altitude when the boat that was pulling her to rise had a failure in the engine.

A report to a team of lifeguards from one of the hotels in the port activated the protocols, so with the help of Jet Sky, they managed to quickly move to the site where the parachute with the visitor from the state of Chihuahua collapsed.

The personnel of the Aquatic Rescue Squadron of Mazatlán reported that the national tourist was taken to dry land and only had a nervous breakdown, when the parachute collapsed, because the boat that was pulling the cable to gain height, had a mechanical failure and stopped.

The Eighth Naval and Rescue Zone elements implemented a relief operation upon learning of the accident, in front of one of the hotels located in the Golden Zone, which allowed the rescue of the young Arlette “N”.

Only three days ago, a new national tourist lost his life on one of the beaches of Mazatlán, despite the efforts of elements of the Navy who intervened to rescue three bathers who were swept away by rip currents.

The authorities identified the victim as Ramón Valerio “N”, 35 years old, originally from the state of Chihuahua, whose body was sent to a funeral home for the judicial authorities to perform the legal autopsy.
