“Since Thursday, some groups of tourists began to arrive in charter trucks and this Friday others arrived, which indicates that we will have a good summer,” said Adrián, a receptionist at a hotel on Del Mar Avenue.
The expectation is that this trend will continue during the remainder of the month of June and in July and August, throughout the summer vacation period.
For his part, the president of the Federation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Sinaloa, Miguel Hernández Fonseca, stated that with the extension of the school vacation period, which will be from the end of June to the end of August, hotel occupancy will reach levels of up to 85 percent during the week and 100 percent from Thursday to Sunday.
Given this, Fecanaco projected an economic benefit of 7,977,375,000 pesos for summer vacations in the port.
This economic flow would represent a growth of 36.1 percent, compared to 2022, which collected 5 thousand 862 million 427 thousand 339 pesos.

For Mazatlán, a profit of 5,400,504,900 pesos is estimated, while in Culiacán the forecast is 1,335,742,938 pesos.
For Los Mochis the expected economic benefit is 801 million 445 thousand pesos, for Guasave 311 million 673 thousand pesos, and for Guamúchil 16 million 696 thousand pesos.
