Mazatlán, Sin.- In one way or another, violent acts stain the image of Mazatlán, acknowledged the mayor Edgar González Zatarain, after the attack with a firearm last Wednesday in which a businessman from Buenos Aires was injured and three Canadian visitors were injured at cause of splinters.

However, the mayor pointed out, the calm and peace that Mazatlán has enjoyed for several months prevails above.

“It had been a long time since an event of this nature had happened and that we Mazatlecos are enjoying the calm and peace that we have here in the port. Obviously, we are surprised that suddenly there is an event like this, events that are inevitable,” he said.

“Of course, in one way or another that stains, we cannot deny this part, however it is imposed, calm is above, the presence of authority is above, the security offered to Mazatlan, that has been manifest for a long time, many months of calm”, he added.

Likewise, González Zataráin assured that this event is not something that will affect or stop the development and projection that Mazatlan brings.

It is unfortunate that this to happen to us and, for that reason, we must reinforce the operations, that coordination with the dependencies.
