Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The real estate sector in Mazatlán has been booming in recent years with the construction of dozens of condominium towers and new subdivisions, while the issue of mobility is lagging behind.

But so far, both the municipal and state authorities have only announced pure ” improvements ” to relieve vehicular traffic, such as the preferential lane for urban transport; however, no work has been carried out that can really improve mobility .

The Secretary of Public Works of the state of Sinaloa, José Luis Zavala Cabanillas, reported that the construction of an overpass where Juan Pablo II and Colosio avenues converge is being planned.

“The one from Colosio with Juan Pablo Avenue is the one we are doing the study, there are two other steps there along Juan Pablo that we also want to do and that is what we are doing at the moment,” he said.

The dates

He added that by January of next year they would be finishing the part of the project for this overpass.

“Later, I think that by January we will finish and start programming the resource to start the work,” he said.

“Making an overpass costs more than 100 million pesos, they are expensive works, but they are definitely investments that are worth making because they relieve traffic and give urban planning to cities and it must be done sooner or later to improve, “ he said. .
