Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- With the Halloween and Day of the Dead celebrations just around the corner, Municipal Civil Protection will practically launch the operations plan starting this weekend, said Eloy Ruiz Gastelum, coordinator of this coordination.

He said that on October 31 they will be visiting different night establishments, checking that they are in optimal conditions, that they comply with the established security guidelines, and that there are no excesses.

“Traditionally, Halloween festivities help the behavior of young people or people who like this type of festivity to lend itself to different eventualities, “ he said.

He added that every weekend the breathalyzer will be working, which has the objective of minimizing the risk of road accidents due to the intake of intoxicating beverages.

By November 2, an operations plan will be deployed both outside and inside the cemeteries.

Restriction on costumes

For his part, Simón Malpica Hernández, head of the Ministry of Public Security and Municipal Traffic, explained that since October 31 falls on a Monday, the actions will be carried out from Saturday 29, to cover the festivities that will take place in advance. go to perform in discos and nightclubs.

He specified that the use of costumes that defend the crime will not be allowed and that if detected, people will be called to take them off and if the invitation is not heeded or there is a recurrence, they will be arrested and turned over to the Railing Civic Judge.

“We have already designed the operation for Halloween from the weekend before the event to avoid these cases. We call on citizens and parents to tell their children not to wear costumes that call for violence; that they wear the costumes that have always been used, so that the event goes well and there is no type of violence, “ she said.

The Halloween operation contemplates the review of clubs, and bars, as well as on public roads, with the review of vehicles where people in disguise are detected.
