The international World Trade Center franchise will arrive in Mazatlan, through Grupo ARHE, to become an important economic trigger in the state of Sinaloa.

Businesses are the new bet of Mazatlan. Recognized as one of the best destinations, this city is also moving forward in consolidating itself as a business capital in northwestern Mexico.

While the city is experiencing a moment of important development, the international franchise World Trade Center will arrive with a new headquarters. In this way, Mazatlan will join its network which links more than 300 business centers in 100 countries.

The World Trade Center Mazatlán will be located on one of the most important avenues of the port, which connects the beach, hospitals, banks and shopping centers, among others. The first of three stages will begin in 2024 and will have an investment of 200 million dollars. It is estimated that the project will promote the creation of 150 direct jobs and more than 600 indirect jobs.

For ARHE Group, responsible for the project, the new World Trade Center complex in the Pearl of the Pacific represents a stimulus to the economy and promotion of foreign trade, as well as a link in technological exchange, tourism and promotion of foreign investment.

“The WTC Mazatlán will be an emblem and point of reference for the businesses that take place in the northwest of the country. Its link with the business world will generate an exponential economic impact and will be one of the main business platforms in Mazatlan”, said the president of the Board of Directors of Grupo ARHE, Juan José Arellano Hernández.

Innovation in the Pearl of the Pacific

The new World Trade Center Mazatlan complex will be developed under the vertical city concept, an ultra-mixed-use project, made up of a business center (B2B/offices/auditorium), residential condominiums, a business-class hotel, specialized medical services and a shopping mall. . At the moment, the architectural project for the construction of the first phase is being tendered.

“The economy and the markets are dynamic, which prompted us to create a development under this concept. We will be an alternative to optimize spaces seeking to eliminate problems of mobility, pollution, safety, making use of renewable technologies and energies, integrated in the same environment”, said Arellano Hernández.

Robin Van Puyenbroek, Executive Director of Business Development of the WTCA, assured that it is a success to bring this franchise to Mazatlan since it puts the city at the negotiating table.

Carlos Ronderos, regional director for Latin America of the WTCA, assured that, if the WTC is here, it is thanks to the vision of María Martínez Haces, business development consultant of the WTCA for Mexico, who contacted Grupo ARHE, reviewed its business history, ethics and business and came to the conclusion that they could not have a better licensee than that group.

“Grupo ARHE has met all the requirements and we welcome it to this association of 55 centers in Latin America. They will now be able to access the World Trade Center experience from around the world,” he said.

He pointed out ́ that in the WTCA they are looking for emblematic, iconic projects and this project, without a doubt, is.

Jorge Acevedo Alarid, consultant for Latin America at the WTC, considered that Mazatlan is experiencing a unique moment and is once again looking at the country.

“We welcome the WTC to this city, a city that is growing in tourism and as a host: we feel at home. The World Trade Centers are not elitist projects, they are inclusive, leading to a world project of hyperactivity”, he expressed.

Felipe Ibarra, Undersecretary of Economy, said that the World Trade Center is the icing on the cake for Mazatlan by putting it on the world map.

The official assured that this is the best time to invest in Sinaloa, and congratulated Grupo ARHE for betting and investing locally.
