MAZATLAN.- The National Guard is already getting ready and has prepared operations plan to prevent accidents on the highways of Sinaloa in the face of the onslaught of Orlene, which threatens to make landfall in the state, said Juan Bernardo Bolaños González, Regional Sub Inspector of the National Guard.

He stated that as part of these actions three rest stops located in Mazatlan, La Cruz de Elota, and Escuinapa will be placed, which seek to provide attention to all drivers who take those road sections.

Bolaños González commented that people who travel along the Mazatlán – Culiacán highway, from kilometer 40 to 45, are not in a favorable position to travel, therefore corresponding inspections are already being carried out.

“The week before last there was a focus of traffic events, we already have it focused. Thus, important points will also be activated in Culiacán, Guamúchil and Los Mochis, all depending on how the phenomenon progresses, which will be sporadically, ”he said.

The National Water Commission forecasts that Orlene will make landfall near Mazatlán, in southern Sinaloa, on Monday, October 3, and will leave rains of up to 250 millimeters in that area.
