Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Travel agents from different states of the Mexican Republic block future dates in hotels in Mazatlán to bring their clients during 2023.
The hotel executive José Gámez Valle stated that there are 20 travel agents who are in Mazatlan through the wholesale operator Check Hotel, which together with the Pueblo Bonito lodging center have managed to create a method that allows them to block dates to bring groups of visitors in the future.
“There are around 20 travel agents from Chihuahua, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Coahuila, Durango, Sinaloa, Sonora and Jalisco, they have always taken these familiarization trips, but what is different about this year is that before they arrived they had already bought and before they leave they are also doing it,” he said.
He stressed that before they arrived at the destination they had already bought 15 groups and the goal of the trip is to sell 3 thousand nights only to Pueblo Bonito.
Gámez Valle highlighted that the main wholesalers that sell Mazatlán are pre-purchasing future dates for all of 2023; last week there was an event in Durango and 25 groups were sold there.
“They want to anticipate to avoid what happened from May to August of this year, that they did not find many spaces, so from now on they are already mooring,” he said .

The councilor of the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies of Mazatlan trusts that the patriotic bridge for the celebrations of the Independence of Mexico on September 15 will bring a bonanza to the tourism sector and that the hotels will fill up.
“The long weekend and every weekend we are full, the teachers have a meeting that I don’t know what it’s called, and that meeting goes on, I already saw it on the calendar, so, long weekend and all the weekends that remain September will be very good in occupation, ”he concluded.
