National Guard vehicle involved in accident on the Tepic – Mazatlán highway

Two agents of the National Guard were severely injured when they collided with the rear of a trailer with a metal container on the Tepic – Mazatlán highway.

The accident was recorded shortly before 10:00 p.m., at kilometer 168 of the toll road between the communities of Tecualilla and San Miguel de la Atarjea south of Escuinapa.

The unit involved in the incident is a National Guard patrol car with economic number 21552; driven by agent Christian “N” of 28 years who has his address in Tlaxcala and Carlos Daniel “N” of 21 years, with address in Veracruz.

According to the information gathered at the scene, the trailer was driven from north to south, it was in the long line that is formed by a checkpoint that is installed in Tecualilla, the National Guard unit was driven in the same sense, which for unknown reasons ended up crashing with the back of the trailer.

After the impact, the two elements that were traveling in the patrol were injured inside the unit.

The elements of the aid and rescue bodies arrived at the site, who provided care to the injured elements and transferred them to the General Hospital in the municipal capital.

One of the elements presented severe head trauma, while the other suffered severe damage to one of his eyes.
