There are several beaches in Mazatlan that are not suitable for bathers, here we tell you which ones are ideal for spending the afternoon.

MAZATLAN.- Seeking to strengthen surveillance in beach areas of the port, the Aquatic Rescue Squadron, ESA, will have night lifeguards to prevent drowning during the vacation period.

According to the Secretary of Public Security in Mazatlan, Simón Malpica Hernández, there will be four elements that work at night, because in recent days there has been a lot of rescue in the beach area due to strong waves, and July closed with the death of two tourists.

“Citizens are called upon to respect the flags placed in beach areas, both locals and tourists sometimes ignore and unfortunate events happen,” he said.

He shared that the elements of the ESA monitor the beaches of Mazatlan until 7:00 p.m., however, the instruction is that they stay later.

The secretary pointed out that tourists who wish to enter the sea, as well as locals, take all precautions beforehand and if they have doubts, look for a lifeguard to attend to them, in addition to respecting all indications.

During the past weekend, 29 people were rescued from the beaches of Mazatlan.
