MAZATLÁN._ The third week of July is when most vacationers show up in the summer in Mazatlan, and a good part of that tourism is returning to their places of origin and others continue to arrive, as seen on the roads that connect with the port and at the Central bus startion.
José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, president of the Tres Islas Association of Hotels and Companies, explained that this weekend’s hotel occupancy reached 95 percent in Mazatlán, and they will be the days with the best tourism during the remainder of the summer since At the beginning of August the influx of visitors begins to decrease a little.
“Practically this weekend we are at 90-95 percent, during the week we see that it falls, which is normal behavior, occupancy decreases by around 70 percent and with the expectation that we will have a good closing of end of the month and be able to achieve the expectation of passing 80 percent of hotel occupancy on average in the month”.
Derived from the fact that this weekend is where there is more influx of tourism during the summer in Mazatlan, at the moment a large number of people are seen in the bus stations of the port.
At the Central de Autobuses de Mazatlán, you can see how dozens of people wait to take their bus to take them home, most of the travelers are from Durango, Torreón, Guadalajara, State of Mexico, Mexico City, as well as Culiacán.
