Max, a six-year-old canine and member of the Mexican Marines, was credited with tracking down drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero on Friday.
The female bloodhound found Caro Quintero hiding in the bushes in the town of San Simon, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Caro Quintero, who has long been linked to the 1985 murder of DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, will be extradited to the United States.
Max, born April 20, 2016, weighs about 78 pounds and is an expert in tracking.
The Mexican Marines commented in a statement that Max played an integral role in locating Cano Quintero.

Like Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera, Caro Quintero now faces a life-sentence in an American prison.
