Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The ports of Mazatlán and Topolobampo could be included by the shipping company MSC Cruises, the largest company in the world in its field, for the arrival of its tourist cruises in the near future, informed the director of Special Projects of the Secretariat of Tourism, Juan José Ruíz González.

Participating in the Summit of the Florida and Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA Caribbean Summit) held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the state official held a meeting with Rick Sasso and Albino Di Lorenzo, executives of the shipping company in question, who They showed their interest in including the ports of Sinaloa in their plans for the coming years.

Among other things, Rick Sasso spoke of the importance of seeking the sustainable development of the industry in which ports and tour operators play a fundamental role.

Similarly, Ruiz González was with the president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise, Lne Harry Sommer and his team, with whom he discussed the possibility of adding one more ship that arrives in Mazatlan during the winter season, in addition to the “Bliss” that currently arrives in this city.

He commented that Harry Sommer addressed all the members of the Summit where he addressed the need to involve ports and governments in the training and development of new workers in the industry, from hospitality to technicians, mechanics and crew members in general.
