Promoting sports and raising funds for the acquisition of instrument equipment for the Mazatlan Naval Hospital has as its objective the first race called by the promoters of the Fourth Naval Zone of the Mazatlan Navy.

It’s time to run because the first Naval 5k and 10k race called “Run For You” was officially announced, which will take place on June 1 of this year at 07:00 hours. , with departure and arrival on Del Mar Avenue in front of the letters of Mazatlán.  

The organizer of the pedestrian event is Laura Leal, and together with her were Araceli Vargas and Rosi Pineda, promoters of the event; it is expected that in this first edition there will be 600 competitors.  

The event’s original idea is to support the Regional Naval Hospital of Mazatlan, with supplies or whatever they need, so everything collected from the registration will be delivered to said unit in full.  

Registration will cost 290 pesos, those interested may go to the Fourth Naval Zone, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; to the Dportenis store in Gran Plaza, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the Venados de Mazatlán store, located in the stadium, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Similarly, competitors can register through the page www.carreramx.com.mx, although the cost is increased by a total of 315 pesos; all participants will be entitled to a kit that includes a medal, a t-shirt and other surprises. 

In the event, the first three places of the two categories and participating branches will be awarded; In the 10 kilometers, three thousand pesos will be awarded to the first place, two thousand pesos to the second and one thousand pesos to the third place. 

The 5-kilometer race, the winner will be 1,500, the second place will be 1,000 pesos and the third place will be 500 pesos. At the end of the competition, raffles of 20 thousand pesos in kind will be held for the participants.
